First, you had me at the opening line “remember who you are”. 1. It reminds me of the first Black Panther where the Queen yells to TChalla to “show him who you are” as he is in a battle for his life. That was such a resonant line for me that I think of often 2. Your journey in this piece is so beautiful

Whew. This piece.

If anyone wants to keep a people from co-creating different futures - reducing their capacity to remember & limiting their ability to rest & therefore, to dream or to imagine.. it’s a powerful oppressor move. But the thing that they tragically overlooked : we stay remembering. we stay imagining.
