On the motherland, once unmothered from
A diasporic experience riddled with anti-Blackness
To be invited somewhere only to not be welcomed
To be invited somewhere and NOT be welcome
The burning shame of being unwelcome from your own
Care for you being an inconvenience
Humiliation. Again.
Careless carelessness.
The visible agitation of being asked to be cared for, on motherland by your own
To ask for care is an inconvenience
An incursion.
Carefree on the motherland.
Careful
Anti-blackness is a beast of that white demon that doesn’t sleep
The shame of being Black in Black spaces and being unwelcome
On the motherland you were once unmothered from - yet still tethered to
unbelonging.
